we have just moved into a rental property with a rayburn supreme solid field stove in the kitchen and a wood burning stove in the kitchen, we were told to go and ahead and use them!!! mistake on closer inspection both are clogged with soot and behind the rayburn the back of the rayburn casing has a hole in it creosote tar is leaking all down in and on the floor in a great gunny mess it stinks and the stringing on the hot plates is in tatters, the wood burning stove has similar tar deposits leaking all over it, luckily we spotted this and never lit them!!! landlord just said 'I will come and have a look" didn't tell us not to use it though.
